Overview: Are you passionate about creating and communicating designs for our client? Do you thrive on collaborating with our Engineering team to produce design drawings for our innovative attractions? As a Ride & Show Electrical Designer, you will work closely with our Design & Engineering teams, LOB customers, outside vendors, and project management staff to deliver CAD designs, detail drawings, and supporting documentation for capital and sustainment projects.

Responsibilities: You will join a collaborative team environment, partnering closely with Engineering to develop conceptual and production design packages for project requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Participating in project design reviews.
  • Determining appropriate documentation formats for releases (e.G., Acceptance Test Procedures [ATP], Operational Test Procedures [OTP]) using Engineering Communication Forms (ECF) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
  • Performing electrical/electronic and mechanical design and drafting.
  • Conducting research to identify project requirements and develop design solutions.
  • Selecting materials, processes, and vendors for design projects.
  • Ensuring drawings comply with applicable codes, legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, including California Ride Law.
  • Reviewing design packages with vendors and shops to ensure conformance with design documentation.
  • Collaborating with Engineers and Document Management staff to ensure proper detailing and submission of as-built drawings and project documentation into the electronic data management system (EDMS).
  • Sharing expertise on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in designs, materials, and products.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD design layouts and detail drawings.
  • Experience in electrical/electronic and mechanical design.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and standards.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
