Job DescriptionJob Description

Seeking a CT Technician who will maintain technical skills needed to perform radiography procedures as well as the evaluation of radiographs for technical quality. Must be competent in performing radiographic procedures. All aspects of conducting examination will be in accordance with prescribed protocols established by staff radiologists.

 

Responsibilities:

  • You must be knowledgeable about using the standard technology, procedures, and equipment for CAT scans, ultrasound, and x-rays.

  • Additional qualifications include a compassionate personality, strong communication skills, and work experience in a clinical environment.Operates and maintains radiological equipment

  • Performs quality control procedures according to hospital policies and procedures

  • Assist the physician as scrub, monitor, or circulating technician during diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization procedures

  • Records events of during these procedures

  • Enforces radiation safety principles

  • Assists with patient transport as needed

  • Participates in quality control, preventative maintenance, and performance activities

  • Attends staff meetings

  • Completes continuing education units as needed

  • Ables to perform CT Scans for the patient

  •  

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in health care field preferred

  • BLS training

  • Completed radiology technician program at an accredited institution

  • State Certified Radiology Technician

  • Preferably those who have a state licensure and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
