Smallcakes Cupcakery And Creamery in the Aurora Colorado area has an opportunity for a mature customer service / cashier to join our team. Our ideal candidate is punctual, motivated, hard-working, and engaged. They will have a positive, outgoing personality, will enjoy helping customers, and will be able to reliably commute to work when scheduled. Smallcakes is a Veteran Friendly, Equal Opportunity Employer.

We are located on 5616 S Gibraltar Way Unit H, in Centennial (Aurora). We offer many benefits, including a 401K retirement plan, paid time off, shared tips for all shifts, and employee discounts. We have a busy but relaxed environment with good team spirit and plenty of laughter.

We are seeking applicants looking for a full-time position.

Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Operate the cash register and POS system accurately to process customer transactions
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and effectively
- Assist with food preparation and ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform basic math calculations to handle cash transactions and provide accurate change
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction

Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Experience operating a cash register or POS system
- Knowledge of basic math for cash handling and calculations
- Familiarity with food preparation and safety guidelines is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in a restaurant or retail setting is preferred but not required
