Physician assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner

Established allergy/asthma practice in Brooklyn is looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team The ideal candidate is able to work in a fast paced environment and has prior experience in allergy, urgent care center, or in a primary care office (adult or pediatrics) . MINIMUM of 1 year of clinical experience as an NP or PA is preferred but not required. Hours are Tuesdays to Thursday 9am-7pm with flexible schedule Mondays and Fridays (40 hours per week).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare allergy vials, administer allergy shots and other medical procedures (skin testing, breathing tests and rhinoscopy)
- Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations
- Provide counsel and medical treatment to patients
- Educate patients on overall wellness and health maintenance
- Develop and implement patient management plans
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- perform rhinoscopy (after appropriate training)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a physician assistant or NP working preferably in allergy, primary care, urgent care center or pediatric office
- Ability to work efficiently
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
