SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Temporary Payment Processor/Cashier for its client in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for processing property taxes validating and counting deposits, and balancing the drawer at the end of the day. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience handling cash and checks while also performing related clerical tasks.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accepts payments from customers and apply to correct accounts.
  • Prepares and/or records bills, claim listings, receipts, statistical activity reports, and other related bookkeeping items.
  • Balances cash drawer on a daily basis.
  • Checks and corrects for errors in balance totals.
  • Accurately entering data into computer.
  • Ability to Answer customers’ inquiries and complaints.
  • Multitasks in various systems and software simultaneously.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma and two years of experience in bookkeeping or related field required.
  • 10-key calculator skills required.
  • Ability to make accurate and fast calculations required.
  • Some knowledge of payroll practices and procedures required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Some experience with processing and accounting for large sums of money preferred.
  • Aptitude for computers and high-speed processing preferred.
