To help keep up with our growing client demands, we have an opportunity for Food Supervisor in Bridgewater NJ, 08807 to join our team.

The Food Supervisor will be responsible for managing and coordinating the daily food service operations, supervising kitchen and front-of-house staff, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards and quality control. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage food service operations, including meal preparation, presentation, and service, to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, servers, and other food service personnel.
  • Ensure that all food preparation and handling adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed and managing stock to prevent waste.
  • Develop and implement food service procedures, including menu planning, portion control, and quality checks.
  • Train and mentor staff on food preparation techniques, customer service, and health and safety protocols.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager to plan and execute special events, promotions, and menu changes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of food storage areas, kitchen equipment, and dining areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of food production, inventory, and staff performance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or food service management certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in food service management or a supervisory role in a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a busy, high-temperature environment.
  • Capability to lift and carry heavy items (up to [X] pounds) as needed.
  • Comfortable using kitchen equipment and performing manual tasks.
