General Accountabilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes, and process customer orders
  • Coordinate with other departments to order and source products
  • Interact with customers and suppliers to obtain and fill orders correctly
  • Projects a warm, inviting and trustworthy image on the phone and in the office
  • Prepares bids and quotes
  • Evaluate customer needs for machining materials
  • Answers customer inquiries
  • Research new product requests and write orders
  • Maintaining customer files
  • Work with the Machine Shop Manager to track jobs/orders through the shop to ensure timely delivery to customers

Job Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: 1-2 years of related experience (preferably in industrial supplies and materials); or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus but not required
