Operating autonomously this role takes directives from a small group of department leads. Technical Skills - Required (as demonstrated through prior projects and/or work experience)
  • Ability to program in languages such as C++, Java (J2EE), XML, Python etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies.
  • Ability to identify and debug coding errors.
  • Preference if knowledgeable in: AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HydroCAD, BlueBeam, and Trimble Business Center.
Non-Technical Skills - Required
  • Detail-oriented and excellent concentration ability.
  • An analytical mindset and critical thinking.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
Education/Certifications – Preferred
  • BSc/BA in computer science, software engineering or relevant discipline.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Developing standardized company practices and workflows.
  • Writing code to automate various company tasks, utilizing multiple discipline-driven software.
  • Researching industry standards and emerging technology which can be utilized to meet company needs.
  • Aiding in implementation of developed workflows.
  • Conducting training sessions for colleagues on implemented workflows.
  • Troubleshooting existing proprietary programs.
  • Assisting company IT department as needed pertaining to work complete.
  • Participating in a group environment to share and aid others in programming tasks.
  • Other duties as needed or required.
