The programmer position plays a pivotal role in enhancing company operations by crafting, refining, and testing code and scripts essential for the seamless functionality of various procedures, software, and applications. Operating autonomously this role takes directives from a small group of department leads. Ideal for an innovative thinker, this position involves dissecting tasks and procedures to develop new company workflows and drive automation initiatives.

Technical Skills - Required (as demonstrated through prior projects and/or work experience)
  • Ability to program in languages such as C++, Java (J2EE), XML, Python etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies.
  • Ability to identify and debug coding errors.
  • Preference if knowledgeable in: AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HydroCAD, BlueBeam, and Trimble Business Center.
Non-Technical Skills - Required
  • Detail-oriented and excellent concentration ability.
  • An analytical mindset and critical thinking.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
Education/Certifications – Preferred
  • BSc/BA in computer science, software engineering or relevant discipline.

  • Developing standardized company practices and workflows.

  • Troubleshooting existing proprietary programs.
  • Assisting company IT department as needed pertaining to work complete.
  • Participating in a group environment to share and aid others in programming tasks.
