Saddle River Medical Group is currently seeking a TEMPORARY full-time candidate for the position of Practice Coordinator for a period of approximately 6 months to oversee the daily operations of our medical practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office management, possess strong organizational skills, and be knowledgeable in HIPAA compliance and medical administrative support.

The applicant will need to be fully available to be present in the office any time from Monday - Friday 8 AM to 6 PM. Office hours are subject to change and vary daily within the above mentioned time frame. Average hours per week are approximately 30-38 hours.

The duties will be as follows:

  • Manage the overall functioning of the medical practice, ensuring efficient operations
  • Supervise and scheduling staff as needed and provide leadership to ensure smooth workflow
  • Implement and maintain utilization management processes to optimize patient care
  • Utilize electronic health record systems for patient record management and billing
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers
  • Handle budgeting and financial aspects of the practice
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA guidelines
  • Manage accounts payable
  • Order and maintain office and medical supplies
  • Payroll processing
  • Occasional legal representation at collections proceedings
  • New Hire/Onboarding as needed
  • Bookkeeping
  • Rental unit operational maintenance and contract renewals/changes
  • Gather insurance information and payments and reconcile
  • Verify and understand insurance eligibility
  • Create and maintain new and established patient appointments within the available schedule as needed
  • Perform medication prior authorizations
  • Answering phones as needed
  • Understand we are a team and require each other's assistance from time to time
  • Maintain a professional, kind, respectful, and welcoming attitude with patients and other staff. We are a traditional practice and patient satisfaction is a priority.
  • Assisting in maintaining a clean office environment as needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience in medical office management or related field
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Strong understanding of utilization management and practice operations
- Knowledge of medical administrative support functions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload effectively

Adequate knowledge of technology is a must as our EHR is a key component to the practice. The right candidate will be able to work independently on certain tasks and be a quick learner The appropriate candidate will also be available to assist with any daily challenges as needed. Professional demeanor, cleanliness, and integrity are a must. Paid training will be provided.
