Energy Auditor

Job Title: Energy Auditor
Pay Rate: $25 - $26 per hour
Training: 2-3 weeks of training provided by Franklin, including BPI certification
Benefits: Company vehicle provided
Schedule:
- Option for a 4-day, 10-hour workweek (3 days off)
- Some Saturdays required during training and once a month thereafter
- Potential for overtime
Travel: Regular travel within a 1-2 hour drive radius, with occasional overnight stays for longer trips
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct 4-6 home energy assessments daily
- Educate homeowners and recommend energy-saving solutions
- Install basic energy-efficient products like light bulbs and water-saving devices
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality service
What We’re Looking For
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and follow a set schedule
- Prior experience in construction, maintenance, or energy efficiency is a plus (but not required)
- Desire to learn and help build a sustainable future
Detailed Responsibilities
- Promote energy efficiency programs to homeowners and building managers
- Conduct thorough walk-through assessments, identifying key opportunities for energy savings
- Install energy-efficient devices such as LED lighting, programmable thermostats, and water-saving equipment
- Clearly explain findings and available rebates to customers
- Work closely with engineers and other team members on larger energy projects
- Enter data into spreadsheets to track energy savings and manage ongoing projects
- Represent our organization professionally, ensuring a clean and organized appearance
- Deliver presentations promoting energy efficiency to targeted groups
- Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles and assist with warehouse organization when needed
- Complete all other assigned tasks as required
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience in one of the following:
- Residential building construction
- HVAC installation, sales, or service
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
