Job Overview

Sprecher Brewing Co. is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This individual will work closely with the Accounting Manger and finance team to manage the financial reporting and accounting requirements for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily reporting (sales, cash etc.) and timely month end close (six working days after month end). Provides status of financial condition by reporting, analyzing, and interpreting the month end data.
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Assists in the day to day functions of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Assists with basic payroll processing plus the various benefit administration functions.
  • Responsible for assisting in year-end close and working with external auditors so year-end financial statements are completed timely.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and completion of the federal, state, and local tax requirements such as sales tax reports, real and personal property tax returns, and income tax returns.
  • Assists with the annual budget process.
  • Assists with customer and product line profitability calculations and reporting.
  • Assists in the development and calculation of commissions and bonus plans.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information, plans, and results confidential.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting/finance
  • Experience with GAAP financial reporting requirements.
  • Must have experience managing processes, developing standards, and creating and tracking budgets.
  • Working knowledge of tax codes and laws
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central ERP a plus.
  • Proven proficiency in auditing, accounting, and corporate finance.
  • High degree of integrity and discretion.
  • High level of financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player who is able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Self-directed, personally motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions and physical demands of the job.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, while focusing on meeting and exceeding expectations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk and work at a computer.
  • Good vision and hearing.
  • Basic mobility within the office.
