Arbitration/Litigation Paralegal

A well-established Sheepshead Bay-based law firm specializing in legal services for medical providers in the No-Fault insurance sector is seeking an Arbitration/Litigation Paralegal. This role involves supporting attorneys with cases filed in AAA and state courts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage both new and ongoing legal cases.
  • Update and maintain the case management system with relevant information.
  • Draft legal documents, including correspondence and notices.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary records and information.
  • Schedule and manage court appearances, dates, and conferences.
  • Collaborate with team members while also working independently to complete tasks.
  • Prepare and manage files for arbitration, assisting with case management.
  • Coordinate with external and internal teams, including clients, medical offices, billing companies, and attorneys.
  • Assist in filing judgments, enforcing arbitration awards, and working with a Marshal to enforce judgments.
  • Take on additional tasks as needed to support the firm’s operations and case management needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working on no-fault arbitration and litigation cases.
  • Strong understanding of the litigation and arbitration process
  • Strong familiarity with No-Fault insurance and Worker’s Compensation Fee Schedule

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in drafting formal and effective correspondence.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with computer software, including Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, and MS Excel.
