JOB DESCRIPTION:

Platinum Financial Services is currently recruiting for an Auditor to perform project-based audit work. This role will be responsible for assisting management and completing detailed analysis of client financials through audits, while complying with all GAAP and GAAS standards. We are focused on serving clients with the upmost integrity and respect, while also developing a personal connection with the client base.

We are looking for an Auditor to scrutinize the financial statements of organizations and report on their financial positions. We want someone with an analytical mind, who’s objective, pays attention to detail and has sound judgement. Your goal will be to provide useful insight and unearth problematic situations regarding the finances and processes of organizations.

This role also has a tax preparation component.

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the auditing of all required financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables
  • Develop an understanding of the client's business, and become an industry specialist to understand client specific needs
  • Anticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise
  • Interact with clients to help ensure the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficient
  • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Managers and Partners
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities
  • Plan effective auditing processes
  • Audit financial statements and assess accounts for accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Inspect internal systems and controls
  • Report systematic errors or fraud indicators
  • Investigate specific issues regulatory bodies bring forward
  • Explain audit findings and recommend solutions
  • Tax Preparation – Data entry and analysis

 

Required Qualifications:

·         BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field

·         CPA license or certification a plus

·         Experience designing Audit Programs, a plus

·         Minimum 2 years of audit experience

·         Understanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and GASB regulations

·         Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel

·         Hands-on experience with QuickBooks

·         Experience in data analysis and financial reporting

·         Familiar with Audit software (e.g. IDEA)

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Sound judgement and decision-making ability

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Keen attention to detail

·         Governmental auditing experience a +

 

Wages & Benefits:

·         $24 to $29 per hour, based on experience ($50k - $60k equivalent)
