Agricultural Equipment Sales Job Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Strategy

  • Analyze clientele status for opportunities

  • Stay informed of product and solution offerings

  • Purvey Milk Barn solutions to territory

  • Review opportunities with management

  • Report leads to management

  • Keep organized log of visits, customer info, etc.

  • Report leads to management and other involved team members

Intercompany Interaction

  • Maintain healthy working relationship with peers

  • Communicate to necessary departments on all facets

  • Collaborate with team members for best outcome

  • Conduct yourself in professional manner at all times

Customer Relations

  • Communicate services offered to clientele

  • Maintain email, text, and phone communication on time

  • Establish appointments for visits and other events

  • Deliver professional quotations and product materials

  • Communicate regarding job and order progress or issues

Installations

  • Work closely with purchasers to procure needed goods

  • Engage with install team for optimal installation performance

  • Liaison to client during install process

  • Manage agreed upon collection process with client

  • Communicate change orders in timely fashion

  • Mitigate stress by setting appropriate job expectations

 

The sales position is a crucial role to the success of Milk Barn. Taking this role with a commitment towards a job well done will prove to be very rewarding. The task of selling dairy equipment also lends itself to staying on top of many changes in the industry - both in the product and market sense. As milk markets ebb and flow, our customers mostly follow. Establishing a rapport and trust with the customers is paramount in developing a long-term successful career in dairy equipment and services sales.

This role reports to Hagerstown, MD a few times a month.
