Spring is right around right the corner here in the Pacific NorthWest, and for some, that means it's time to get their cars taken care of and out of storage. With that being said, an opportunity has arisen for a select few ideal candidates to join the team & assist with the continued growth of NWAS.

As this position is not entry-level, serious detail experience is required. As a first-time employee of NorthWest Auto Salon, you will be trained with proper shop procedures & practices prior to getting your hands dirty even with professional detailing experience.

JOB DUTIES MAY INCLUDE & ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Hand washing / prepping vehicles for detail, PPF, tint, or wrap installations
  • Basic exterior / interior reconditioning & surface cleansing- Customer care, greeting clients & assisting with vehicle reception or delivery
  • Shop cleaning & occasional janitorial duties
  • Event set-up assistance
  • Control shop conditions by ensuring lot is clean and orderly plus ensure traffic patterns are efficient and safe.
  • Develop and train staff within the Department
  • Monitor all training requirement for the department and ensure timely completion of all training required.
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Make sure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, orderly work environment and friendly disposition by greeting others.
  • Make sure all area conditions do not threaten employee or customer safety.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Operations Manager or General Manager

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • A minimum of two (2) to (3) three years of supervision/management preferred. Previous lead detail experience preferred.
  • Strong computer ability with basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good business judgment and discretion to analyze and address opportunities.
  • Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong multitasking skills along with the ability to adapt to changing work environments.
  • Demonstrate ability to learn, retain and articulate product related information and provide unscripted responses on appropriate subject matter.
  • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.

This position is intended to be full-time from the get go. Candidates for this position need to have a good attitude towards a heavy workload & working within strict completion timelines. One must also have a presentable appearance, and calm, cool, collected demeanor. You must be open to learning new techniques, unafraid of asking questions, and a driven self-starter.

Salary: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
