OBJECTIVE
Marrick is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer to lead our transition to a serverless architecture within AWS. This role involves collaboration with software teams and business units to support and optimize our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently and taking initiative.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with software engineers and business teams to enhance our technology strategy and manage our AWS cloud environment
  • Drive the transition to a serverless architecture and highly adept with Fargate, SAM, and AppRunner
  • Familiar with core AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, and API Gateways
  • Build modern CI/CD pipelines to support application deployment in a serverless environment.
  • Improve monitoring, logging, and observability in AWS workflows
  • Create and maintain documentation related to infrastructure, configurations, and operating procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience managing AWS infrastructure with a focus on serverless technologies and comfortable working with load balancers and server infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of container services such as ECS and Docker
  • Working knowledge of Linux scripting, Python, and automation
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as JIRA, Git, and Confluence

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex production systems
  • In-depth knowledge of security best practices and tools, with the ability to design and implement secure systems
  • Proficiency in advanced monitoring and logging techniques
  • Experience with network and system administration, including troubleshooting and performance optimization
