Overview: We are seeking an experienced Instrument & Control Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain process control systems, ensuring operational efficiency and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain DCS and PLC configurations.
  • Modify operating parameters as needed and maintain service agreements.
  • Monitor and maintain process controllers, HMI displays, and HIS stations.
  • Perform system backups and oversee recovery functions.
  • Design, procure, and implement process instrumentation projects.
  • Develop and oversee construction packages for IEC projects
  • Maintain daily report functionality generated by data historians.
  • Implement and maintain automated report servers and environmental reports.
  • Test and document emergency shutdown systems.
  • Maintain security access systems, cameras, and notification systems.
  • Monitor site electronic message boards and video devices.

Additional Duties:

  • Assist with electrical equipment design and installation.
  • Maintain weather reporting systems and plant power monitoring.
  • Learn and manage custom in-house systems.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with DCS and PLC.
  • Proficiency in DCS sequence, ladder logic, and HMI design.
  • Data historian experience.
  • Knowledge of communications protocols (Ethernet IP, Modbus, HART).
  • Proficiency with PC systems (Windows) and MS Office (Excel, Visio).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automated report servers and security systems.
  • Familiarity with energy market reports and site monitoring systems.
  • Ability to learn and manage custom in-house systems.
