Overview:
Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi) is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer II to join our team in support of the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific Joint Tactical Aircraft Reference Implementation Laboratory (TacAir RIL) Engineering Services. This role involves providing systems engineering expertise for the design, development, and integration of C4ISR systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in systems of systems design and development, test and evaluation, and scientific analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Perform management, reduction, and analysis of data, designing tests, and laboratory analyses for C4ISR systems.
- Conduct scientific analyses and interpret research results to support emerging platform requirements and integration.
- Architect, review, analyze, test, and modify systems of systems designs and implementations for C4ISR systems.
- Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), teleconferences, and Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process events.
- Provide technical risk and opportunity analysis and offer recommendations.
- Develop quantitative feasibility analyses to increase system effectiveness and integrate new capabilities.
- Conduct technical investigations and provide guidance for system development and troubleshooting.
- Support technical working groups (TWG) to resolve action items and summarize issues and recommendations.
- Collaborate with RF engineers and software engineers to ensure comprehensive system integration.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Top-Secret/SCI Security Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or a related engineering or computer science discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience with system of systems design and development for C4ISR systems within the past 7 years.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing management, reduction, and analysis of data, designing tests, and laboratory analyses, including scientific analyses and interpretation of research results for C4ISR systems within the past 7 years.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience architecting, reviewing, analyzing, testing, and modifying systems of systems designs and implementations for C4ISR systems within the past 7 years.
Desire Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of experience with open architecture constructs such as Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA), Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C5ISR)/Electronic Warfare Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS), Open Mission Systems (OMS), and Open Communication Standard (OCS) within the last ten years.
- Five (5) years of experience architecting, reviewing, analyzing, testing, and modifying systems of systems designs and implementations for C4ISR systems within the last 10 years.
- Five (5) years of experience with systems of systems design and development for C4ISR systems within the past 10 years.
- Five (5) years of experience performing management, reduction, and analysis of data, designing tests, and laboratory analyses, including scientific analyses and interpretation of research results for C4ISR systems within the past 10 years.
- Five (5) years of experience with Low Probability of Detection (LPD) and Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) waveforms and anti-jam communication capabilities within the past 10 years.
