Summary:

We are seeking a quality-driven and technically proficient Quality Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality and compliance of manufactured products. You will leverage your experience in manufacturing processes, ASME standards, and quality procedures to develop and implement effective quality control measures throughout the production lifecycle. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement within our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans for manufactured components, adhering to customer specifications and relevant industry standards, such as ASME.
  • Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to identify and address potential quality issues.
  • Analyze inspection data and prepare reports using statistical process control (SPC) methods to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Review and approve manufacturing documentation, including drawings, procedures, and non-conformance reports.
  • Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing personnel, and suppliers to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of relevant quality standards.
  • Manage and maintain quality control records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits of quality control processes to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Interface with external regulatory bodies during inspections and audits, if applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or similar
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of ASME standards and their application to manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with welding procedures and quality control practices for welded products (a plus).
  • Experience with quality control principles, inspection techniques, and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (a plus).
  • Proficiency in using quality control software and data analysis tools (e.g., SPC software).
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
