Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in the design and development of high-performance boiler systems. You will leverage your expertise in structural engineering principles to create safe, efficient, and code-compliant boilers that meet our specific project requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge boiler technologies and contribute to the success of our critical projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all phases of the boiler design process, from conceptual development to detailed engineering.
  • Perform complex mechanical and structural calculations to ensure the integrity and functionality of boiler components, including pressure vessels, heat transfer surfaces, and support structures.
  • Select and specify materials for boiler construction based on code requirements, performance needs, and cost considerations.
  • Develop detailed engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
  • Conduct stress analysis of boiler systems to ensure they can withstand operational loads and pressure.
  • Collaborate with other engineers (e.g., controls, piping) to ensure seamless integration of all boiler system components.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry standards and boiler codes (e.g., ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code) and ensure designs comply with relevant regulations.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to discuss potential challenges and solutions.
  • Support the manufacturing and construction teams by providing technical clarifications and addressing design queries.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master's degree a plus).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the design and development.
  • Proven experience with pressure vessel design and analysis according to ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS) and familiarity with boiler-specific design tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on safety considerations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality engineering documents.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
