The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.  The BIA will also be responsible for presenting findings to the leadership team and others.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing BI solutions using Microsoft Power BI Experience with Azure Data Services
  • Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack (Power Pivot, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS)
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and ETL processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficient in writing DAX queries on the Power BI desktop
  • Strong proficiency with SQL (DDL, DML, & stored procedures)
  • Working knowledge of Relational Database Software. Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of databases (i.e. MSSQL, Oracle, Access).

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and maintains Power BI dashboard, reports and data models.
  • Creates data visualizations to help business stakeholders understand key metrics and trends.
  • Creates recurring and ad-hoc reports using data from our enterprise data warehouse and various systems of record.
  • Works with stakeholders to gather requirements and creates data models that support their business needs. 
  • Collaborates with IT/InfoSec teams to ensure data integrity and security
  • Develops advanced reports and visualizations using Power BI and Power Query
  • Stays current with new Power BI features and best practices
  • Assists senior analysts in identifying and solving day-to-day business problems through a multi-disciplinary approach that encompasses a multitude of areas, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, operations research, and business. 
  • Assists senior analyst(s) in evaluating and making recommendations for software and services offered by third party vendors.
