We seek a Radiology Technician to perform Radiology Technician Services on-site at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Safford.

Job Requirements

  • Applicant must be fully licensed to perform radiological procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Applicant must be licensed by the state of Arizona.
  • Applicant must have at least three(3) or more years of work experience.
  • Applicant must be CPR certified, in accordance with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Job Description

  1. Perform routine radiologic procedures ordered by the medical staff for the inmate population at the institution.
  2. Transmit, retrieve X-ray images and reports electronically, and scan reports into inmates' Bureau Electronic Medical Record (BEMR).
  3. Receive training to retrieve radiographic consults from BEMR and schedule them to perform all radiographic procedures.
  4. Work with an inmate population from various cultural, racial, religious, and ethnic backgrounds.
  5. Evaluate radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs.
  6. Possess knowledge of basic emergency situations that may occur during special radiographic procedures.
  7. Schedule exams and maintain records
