Radiologic Technologist

As a Radiologic Technologist with Absolute Staffers, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our clients. This position requires a strong foundation in radiologic procedures, patient care, and equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine radiologic procedures, including chest, bone, skull, spine, and portable x-rays.
• Transmit, retrieve, and scan X-ray images and reports electronically.
• Receive training to retrieve radiographic consults and schedule exams.
• Work with a diverse inmate population, evaluating radiographic equipment and assessing technical exposure factors.
• Possess knowledge of basic emergency situations and pathological abnormalities as demonstrated by radiographic imaging.
• Independently assess and select technical exposure factors and positions necessary to obtain a proper quality diagnostic exam.
• Notify Radiologist or referring Physician of any preliminary abnormalities seen during exams.
• Coordinate transfer of patient radiologic records and act as liaison between radiologist and medical staff.
Requirements:
• Fully licensed to perform radiological procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
• Licensed by the state of Arizona.
• At least three or more years of experience.
• Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation.
Work Environment:
This position requires working in a correctional facility, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. You will be working with an inmate population from various cultural, racial, religious, and ethnic backgrounds. You must be able to wear outer protective clothing and obey Center for Disease Control universal precautions at all times. You will also be required to receive training and orientation on correctional techniques as they pertain to medical services. You must develop a working knowledge of local medical protocols and function in other duties commensurate with a Radiology Technician. You will be responsible for computerization and printing of daily logs, exam requisitions, and folder and exam labels. You will also be responsible for completing all x-ray studies ordered by the medical staff, preparing x-rays for shipment to the radiologist, and transporting x-rays to and from the radiologist. You will assist the staff with maintenance of equipment and supplies, conducting quality assurance tests, and daily maintenance on x-ray equipment as needed. You will also assist with FDA inspections and preparation for TJC and program review as needed. You must assure that all x-ray requests are completed properly and computerize patient logs and repeat analysis.
