Offset Press Operator

Summary: Greenhaven Printing (Shoreview, MN) is looking for a Pressman with sheetfed press experience, preferably Heidelberg Speedmaster. This job is on first shift Monday through Friday 6am – 2pm.  Additional opportunities for overtime available.  There is also a feeder to support you.

Responsible for press setup and operation. Emphasis on quality, productivity, safety, house cleaning and maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Review of job instructions and preparation of job materials for printing.

· Understanding and use of data collection system.

· Make Ready according to schedule, check color, content, imposition and review rule ups according to the proofs. Notify supervisor/manager of any issues or errors immediately.

· Make sure time pulled sheets are inspected and initialed.

· Equipment Maintenance (includes workspace cleanliness and organization)

· Bring unresolved or continuing problems to the attention of management/supervisor.

· Work in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees. Follow all safety policies including the use of PPE’s, proper lifting, and handling of chemicals.

· Fast paced environment focused on quality and production.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Work overtime when required.

· Able to stand for prolonged periods.

· Must be able to lift 40lbs.

· Working effectively with co-workers by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner.

· Be able to accept directions from supervisor, management, and coworkers to improve on quality and production.

Education and/or Experience

· Minimum of two years as a Press Operator

· Licensed to operate a fork truck preferred, not required. Operate hand trucks and lifts.

Preferred Skills

· Heidelberg Speedmaster

· Computer Skills

· Ability to read, write and understand English

· Ability to perform basic math {addition, subtraction, multiplication, division}
