Procurement Specialist

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join the purchasing team. The procurement specialist plays a crucial role to ensure parts/components are available to the production team to meet delivery deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES (may include, but are not limited to):

• Interface with vendors daily and ensure appropriate levels of inventory.
• Maintain accurate (exact) files with product specs, pricing, terms and conditions, manufacturer warranties, etc.
• Manage regular stock orders and apply usage history to minimize disruption during production
• Provide feedback and assist in managing Min-Max.
• Identifying ideal purchasing opportunities and making PO recommendations based on usage history
• Proactively communicating with other departments about product allocation, delivery inquiries, and backorders

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
• Working knowledge in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) is required
• Working experience with MRP systems is a plus, but not required
