We are looking for an E-Commerce Analyst to join our Smartpress team In this role, you will work to optimize Smartpress’ e-commerce operations by analyzing online traffic and digital marketing campaigns and communicating findings internally where they’ll have the most impact. This role will collaborate closely with the merchandising, marketing and sales teams to identify trends, measure ROI and recommend data-driven adjustments to advertising, UX and merchandising strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital advertising, experience in data analysis and excellent communication skills. Attention to detail, problem-solving aptitude and a willingness to design and run experiments are keys to success in this role.

A variety of these traits will help land you this job. If you have:

  • a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Marketing, Economics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a digital marketing or e-commerce setting.
  • Experience with statistical modeling and A/B testing.
  • E-commerce or other online business experience.

On top of that you must:

  • have strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and interpret large datasets, particularly clickstream data
  • obtain experience with digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager) and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics) is a must
  • have strong written and verbal communication skills for translating complex data findings into understandable, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • be proficient in SQL, Python (or similar) and data visualization tools would be a plus
  • collaborate and embrace the “Art of the Team”
  • have a passion for excellence and drive for quality in all that the team produces
  • be empathetic while problem-solving with clients and other team members, and stay process-focused when problem-solving

In this position, you will:

  • analyze Google Ads campaigns, web traffic and customer behavior data to identify trends and opportunities to optimize marketing and e-commerce strategies.
  • assist with cohort analysis to understand customer retention, lifetime value (CLV) and the impact of marketing initiatives on different customer segments.
  • collaborate with the UX and marketing teams to design and run A/B tests (and other kinds of experiments) to test hypotheses and guide the allocation of development resources.
  • define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, customer acquisition costs (CAC) and return on investment (ROI) for various marketing campaigns and traffic channels.
  • design and maintain dashboards and reports that track the performance of marketing efforts across multiple channels, including SEO, PPC, email and social media.
  • provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize campaign strategies, enhance customer acquisition and improve overall e-commerce performance.
  • stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools and best practices in digital marketing and e-commerce analytics.
  • perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management.
