We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission.

Job Overview: We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and experienced Behavioral Health Technician specializing in substance abuse to provide direct care and support to clients in our program. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in the behavioral health field, specifically working with individuals struggling with substance abuse. You will play a crucial role in assisting clients with their recovery goals, monitoring their progress, updating treatment plans, and providing support through various therapeutic and behavioral interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support and care to clients dealing with substance abuse issues, including individual and group sessions.
  • Implement and monitor treatment plans under the guidance of clinical staff.
  • Assist in managing and documenting client progress, behavior, and any incidents.
  • Facilitate therapeutic activities and support groups to promote recovery and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times, including managing any crises or emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
  • Protect and maintain the confidentiality of resident records and information, by maintaining HIPAA compliance
  • Planning lessons, activities and group events.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to execute job duties

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a Behavioral Health Technician or in a similar role, with a focus on substance abuse treatment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong written skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, and work effectively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • HIPAA compliant
  • Peer Support Certification.
  • Able to grasp a general working knowledge of clinical record management systems.
  • Successfully complete drug screen and comprehensive background check

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in substance abuse counseling or a related field.
  • Experience with evidence-based treatment modalities for substance abuse.

 

Requirements:

  • Have a valid drivers license.
  • Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance (required).
  • Current TB testing (must be up-to-date, taken within last 6 months).
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR (must be current, in person class required).
  • Updated Resume Diploma or Transcripts
  • 2 forms of government issued identification (Driver's License, Passport, Social Security Card, Birth certificate, residence card, etc.)
