Job DescriptionJob Description

Job Summary: The primary function of the Accounting Manager is to manage the overall purchasing, GL, Fixed Assets and inventory departments.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

1) Oversees daily transactions such as accounts payable, inventory, and general

ledger.

2) Assist the Assistant Controller with the year-end audit and assist

in the preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statements. Insures the

company policy is being followed in all expense approvals, journal entry

approvals and sign offs.

3) Supervises the General Ledger, Inventory, and Fixed Asset staff.

4) Review sales/use tax procedures frequently for updates and processes returns.

5) Review balance sheet and income statement accounts at month end close.

Oversee month end closing procedures, review reconciliations, and perform

monthly income statement analysis.

6) Assist with the preparation of information for Corporate tax returns.

7) Assist Financial Services team with various Accounting and analytical

functions.

8) Review monthly account reconciliations and financial statement preparation

for all Realty and Aircraft companies and work with independent accounting

firm in preparations of tax returns.

9) Assist with year-end tax package

Other Functions/Responsibilities:

1) Other duties as assigned.

Additional Required Skills/Abilities:

In depth knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook. Working knowledge of

Microsoft Dynamics or similar automated accounting package. Analytical

thinker and problem solver.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting

Experience:

Five years or more of experience and knowledge of basic financial and

accounting practices and procedures.
