Sit Catering is looking for a motivated and diligent Dishwasher to join our culinary team. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring the smooth flow of operations during culinary events.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans

- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks and support during service hours

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment

- Empty and clean trash receptacles regularly to ensure a sanitary environment

- Support the team in organizing inventory, receiving deliveries, and stocking supplies

- Follow health and safety guidelines to uphold food handling and hygiene standards

- Collaborate with kitchen colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and timely service

 

**Qualifications:**

 

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required

- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards

- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as needed

- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team

- Food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one

 

**Schedule:** Part-time position, evenings and weekends, with flexibility based on event schedules
