We are currently seeking a Full-Time Dietary Aide/Trayline Supervisor to join the Hollenbeck family.


Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities and Duties

Within the department policies, procedures, and standards, and under the direction of a supervisor or manager, oversees filling trays, preparation of hot wells and Heideman and Solarium dining room set ups, serving, and clean-up; assists with nourishments.

  1. Clear fingerprinting through DOJ and FBI and general background check
  2. Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent certificate.
  3. Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language as dominant language of Residents in the facility; applicant with bilingual experience welcome.
  4. Needs to be able to work under normal supervision; understand verbal instruction and tolerate moderate stress during busy periods.
  5. Must be willing to work with and be sensitive to needs of frail elderly in a retirement setting, including those who are ill, disabled, emotionally upset, or at times cognitively impaired individuals in the facility.
  6. Accepts long-Term Care regulations and Hollenbeck Palms policies and procedures. Employee handbook, Uniform Code, safety precautions, and practices discretion and confidentiality per HIPPAA (Privacy and Confidentiality) Guidelines.
  7. Must be able to perform duties listed in the Job Description.
  8. Must be in good general health and have the ability to handle the daily physical requirements if the position.

  • Los Angeles, CA 90033: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Trayline Supervisor: 1 year (Preferred)

Requirements:

Physical Requirements

  1. Must be able to lift, carry, raise and lower dishes, pans, trays and items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  2. Must be able to transfer items and transport on carts from main kitchen to specified dining rooms, including relocating on outdoor terrain
  3. Must be able to read and follow tray cards, lists for items being stocked, refrigerator and freezer temperatures, and expiration dates on milk and food products
  4. Must be able to stand or walk, up to 8 hours per day, for a full-time position.
  5. Must orient to and safely handle, per product guidelines, the following machinery: steam table, lowerator, dumbwaiter, refrigerators, freezers, carts, coffee and juice machines, and report any malfunction
  6. Work requires orientation to MSDS book, and may involve hand and smell contact with chemicals including the following: Dynamix General Purpose Cleaner, Hand Sanitizer, Lime-A-Way, Silver Power Extra, Solid Power Plus, Solid Brilliance,
  7. Vexal Plus, and Food Release Silver; and additional chemical items as product improvements are selected.
  8. Needs to be able to tolerate heat and steam from hot pots and pans; and loud and constant noise from dish and pot washers.
