Job Summary:

MPS is seeking a highly motivated and very hands-on Test Development Engineers. The candidate will be involved in all phases of product development: design for testability, test hardware and software design, hands-on debug, correlation, characterization, and production release (NPD/NPI). MPS specializes in Switching regulators, LED drivers, Battery Chargers, Digital Controllers for commercial and automotive products.

Essential Functions:

  • Designs component-level circuits for precision parametric measurement, dynamic signal analysis and creates automated test system software for analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
  • Involved in all phases of product development: design for testability, test hardware and software design, hands-on debug, correlation, characterization, and production release.
  • Possesses in depth knowledge of Test engineering concepts and can apply these concepts to a wide range of complex assignments.
  • Train and mentor junior Test Engineers.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Required: Minimum of 3 years of power IC test development experience. 5~10 years experience preferred.
  • BSEE or similar required, MSEE a plus.
  • Test Platform experience: Eagle Test Platform experience (ETS88, ETS364 etc.) J750, ACCOSTS8000, Changchuan 8280F/8290 preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with switching regulator topologies including LED Drivers, Batter Chargers, and Digital Controllers.
  • Willing to travel internationally for training and technical discussions on occasion as required.
  • Excellent oral and written English or Mandarin skills required. Bilingual in English and Mandarin a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills to facilitate a strong working relationship with MPS engineers worldwide.
