Director of Clinic Operations

 

Our client is a leading Healthcare physician center practice that continues to acquire and grow throughout Texas. They are searching for an experienced Practice Director to join their organization in Houston, Texas. The Regional Clinical Director works within the clinic to develop business strategies, manage budgets, and oversee day-to-day operations (scheduling, billing, collections, etc.) of the clinic while promoting a positive work environment. The Regional Clinical Director ensures that the business needs of the practice are met and actively works to recruit new patients.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·       Direct practice activities to ensure the accomplishment of strategic market objectives in a practice with 11 locations, 75 employees plus, and gross revenues of $100 million.

·       Support the recruitment and onboarding/integration of physician in-market affiliations (IMAs) or recruits.

·       Actively assess and recruit for current and future staffing needs

·       Responsible for all operations for seven clinics including research and surgical operations

·       Implement practice objectives to ensure financial profitability through short- and long-range planning to achieve and maintain growth.

·       Effectively partner with other leaders within the organization on Practice initiatives

·       Continually evaluate practice strategies and plans to meet changing national, state, and local needs.

·       Develop and implement policies, procedures, and objectives.

·       Ensure adequate execution, compliance, and updates to physician practices

·       Monitor, analyze, assess, and communicate practice progress to supervisor.

·       Evaluate general and specific business conditions as they relate to operational issues.

·       Consider manpower and practice needs, including facilities and technology.

·       Direct the preparation and maintenance of management reports necessary to carry out functions of practice.

·       Prepare periodic reports as necessary or required in conjunction with shared service business owners.

·       Devise strategies and plans for the practice according to company standards for excellent service and growth

·       Ensure compliance and adherence to the organization's structure, management philosophy, and mission statements.

·       Provides leadership and support for the clinic office staff and physicians

 

·       Interprets rules, regulations, and policies and executes as they relate to all aspects of the practice.

·       Ensure compliance with Federal and State employment regulations, OSHA, and labor laws as directed by the Human Resources department.

·       Assures compliance with laboratory regulations, HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory bodies in clinic.

·       Obtain and monitor physician credentials to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies,

·       hospitals, and health plans.

·       Able to manage and execute real estate projects as the practice grows

·       Provide personnel with clinical training and opportunities for continuous development

·       Travel from clinic to clinic within the assigned geographic area

·       Ability to develop and lead projects and teams

·       Working knowledge of financial and/or procurement activities

·       Working knowledge of regulations, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Required Attributes:

 

·       Bachelor’s Degree from a well-established and recognized university

·       Master’s Degree preferred

·       Excellent Leadership and Management experience

·       Heavy operations experience 

·       Experience leading a P/L north of 100M and a staff of 75-plus

·       Relevant experience in a related medical setting as a leader, preferred

·       Experience within an organization that has grown through acquisitions

·       5 plus years of experience in the healthcare industry experience, preferably in an outpatient setting

·       Excellent presentation and communication skills
