We are a rapidly growing provider of high-density fiber networks. We are looking to fill the position of Controller to oversee the accounting function.
This position reports directly to the CFO and has a tremendous amount of growth potential. We are a small team but support a growing results-oriented company. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, eager to learn and take on responsibility, and be team oriented.

  • Software they use is Sage Intacct, Salesforce, Bill.com this is a must have.
  • Hybrid setup – 2x a week onsite.
  • Compensation: $160k-$170k (doe) bonus every year (15-25% of base).

 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsibility for all accounting functions.
  • Responsibility for maintaining the general ledger and financial records in accordance with GAAP
  • Oversee monthly close and preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Oversee preparation for and completion of annual audits.
  • Work with Tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns
  • Preparation and filing of state and local taxes, including property taxes, sales/use taxes, local taxes, etc.
  • Analysis of all balance sheet accounts and establishing and maintaining supporting schedules and adequate reserves
  • Overseeing all transaction processing including Billing/Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, cash
  • Work with management to establish accurate cash flow forecasts
  • Work with Operations team to ensure transactions and reporting are accurate and timely

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, MBA Optional
  • Experience working for public accounting firm
  • Experience in senior accounting role, managing complex accounting concepts
  • Telecom experience a plus
  • Must be a hands-on, team player with excellent inter-personal skills
  • Self-starter and end-results oriented
