Job DescriptionJob DescriptioniSphere is looking for contractor in Houston, TX to join our dynamic team as an IT professional and play a crucial role in supporting data integration into both external and internal systems. Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
A bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related subject is preferred. However, we also value real-world experience and will evaluate candidates with 7-10 years of related experience in a K-12 setting on a case-by-case basis.

Special Knowledge/Skills:
We are seeking someone with strong analytical skills, capable of collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating large amounts of information with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. Experience with automation/configuration management is a plus, as is the ability to write and support interfaces between our district's SIS/Business systems and ancillary programs.

If you have a knack for queries, report writing, and presenting findings using various methods, you'll thrive in this role. Familiarity with Crystal Reports, Structured Query Language (SQL), and database design and development techniques is highly desirable. Your experience with data integration and sharing, while maintaining compliance with CIPA, COPPA, FERPA, and HIPAA, will be highly valued.

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong experience in SQL and MySQL. Proficiency in advanced programming languages, such as PHP, Python, PowerShell, and others, is a definite plus. Additionally, familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, firewall management, database administration, server management, and data transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, API, and REST) will make you an ideal fit for our team. If you have experience with data security posture management (DSPM) solutions and analytical software, including basic statistical analysis, we want to hear from you.

In-depth knowledge of Skyward Student Information and Finance Systems, data import/export, data mining, PEIMS processes, reporting, and submissions per PEIMS Data Standards will be highly beneficial in this role. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems experienced by database system users, both in person and over the phone, will be crucial to our success. Experience with server installation, configuration, and maintenance will also be valued.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for integrating data through custom reports and data exports to complementary systems. Your work will facilitate well-informed administrative decisions and projections at both campus and district levels. This will involve collaborating with various district administrative and instructional departments and campuses to collect, integrate, and format all data required for submissions and reporting.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to manage and implement projects to develop complex data systems for potential applications. This includes planning, executing, and managing the integration of new applications into our existing network systems.
