Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Kent County, MD. This full-time position is ideal for a passionate professional who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of elementary school students. The SLP will manage a caseload of 40-50 students, providing high-quality speech and language services in a supportive and collaborative educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for elementary school students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language impairments.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress and ensure effective communication strategies are integrated into the classroom.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, evaluations, and therapy sessions.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input on students' speech and language needs and progress.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Maryland as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
