Seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to be responsible for working on a team to design and integrate high-tech robotics with our injection molding production work cells. Excellent career opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise for mechanical, electrical and programmable logic controllers.
- Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control automation project.
- Evaluate, trouble shoot, analyze and determine process improvements.
- Coordinate and communicate between various areas; train staff as needed.
- Prepare a plan to re-design and present such design ideas and changes for approval along with estimated costs of such projects.
- Work with Engineering on all new tool designs in order to prepare “new mold” EOAT (End of Arm Tooling) for part removal and associated tooling.
- Responsible for automation projects including layout of Conveyor / Camera / Sorting / Inspection and Part Separation / Quality improvement automation.
- Prepare Bill of Materials of products / parts / components required to complete automation design.
- Follow the organization's policies as well as any applicable laws while carrying out any of their duties.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree.
2. 2 or more years of Automation Engineering experience.
3. 2 or more years of ABB Robot Programming experience preferred.
