Job DescriptionJob Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities-

  • Be a critical member of a team of four to five Data Center/Facility Maintenance Technicians in a 24/7/365 operating environment.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of facility, while adhering to and enforcing company, facility, and on-site security policies and procedures.
  • Escort and monitor the work of third-party contractors and sub-contractors to ensure they remain in compliance with the site standards while performing maintenance or relevant activities.
  • Prioritize work requests based on priority levels.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as creating reports, writing proposals, and billing administration.
  • Prepares and maintains records of all maintenance activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Data Center- Primary Duties and Responsibilities-

  • Analyzes and troubleshoots basic technical problems or issues.
  • Reviews, interprets, and works with various maps, drawings, blueprints, and testing documents.
  • Performs daily tests, checks, and maintenance of and testing equipment.
  • Comply with all company and security policies and procedures, when working in the Data Center environments.

Facility Maintenance- Primary Duties and Responsibilities-

  • Provide shift coverage and on-call operational support for all facilities systems, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire, life, and safety.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, equipment rounds, and service requests as directed and in accordance with the company CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Perform emergency or preventative maintenance repairs during off hours as directed on nights and weekends as needed.
  • Become proficient with building automation systems to ensure equipment is operating properly.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support vendors on preventive maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assist site with emergency situations (fire alarms, power outages, environmental spills).
  • Comply with all company and security policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace.

Qualifications-

  • Three years of building operations and data center experience is preferred.
  • Trade school degree or certificate in mechanical, electrical, or controls disciplines a plus.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Proficient writing & communication skills.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to use Windows based computers.
  • Ability to read HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and architectural drawings.

Physical Work Abilities and Requirements-

  • Walking frequently, throughout large facilities.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Climbing stairs and navigating rooftops to access equipment.
  • Using ladders and man lifts, working from heights.
