Machinist needed for custom metalworking shop

Full-time work. Day shift only.

Johnson Hydraulics is small, family owned and operated, and has been in business for more than 35 years. This is a permanent position with a long-term company.

Note: This is not assembly line type work, we are a deadline-oriented custom shop, so every job requires a different process.

Job Duties Will Include:

  • Setup and operation for manual engine lathe
  • Quality control and part checking
  • Custom part work

Preferred Candidates will have:

  • Own tools (basic mechanic's set at minimum)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Experience in manufacturing and metalworking
  • Excellent attendance and availability to work chosen shift
  • Communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and human resources
  • Ability to perform required machining math equations, example: feeds and speeds, layouts, centers
  • Overhead crane experience
  • Forklift experience
  • Familiarity or direct experience with the machines listed in job duties
