Job DescriptionJob Description

The Property Maintenance Technician's role encompasses carrying out daily operational and maintenance tasks to maintain the property's standards of upkeep, security, and efficiency. Responsibilities also involve coordinating household services and meticulously attending to every detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Property Maintenance:
    • Perform the maintenance of the property, including residence and grounds.
    • Coordinate with Home Office, external contractors and service providers for repairs, landscaping, pool maintenance, and other services.
    • Ensure all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) are functioning properly and repair any issues promptly.
    • Conduct prescribed regular inspections to identify and resolve maintenance needs.
  2. Planning and Coordination:
    • Execute property checklists.
    • Prepare routine maintenance logs as required.
    • Handle oversight of subcontractors to include quality of service reviews.
  3. Security and Safety:
    • Ensure the security protocols are maintained by the current contracted providers.
    • Follow security protocols and systems.
    • Coordinate with security staff or external security providers as necessary. 
  4. Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain an organized system for household documentation, including maintenance logs, inventory lists, and contact information for vendors and service providers.

Qualifications:

  • Experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property maintenance preferably in a private residential setting.
    • Extensive hands-on experience in repairing, maintaining, and managing high value properties.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge:​
    • Understanding of property maintenance, landscaping, and household systems.
    • Ability to identify and troubleshoot common problems related to electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Ability to read/ speak/ write English language proficiently.
  • Education:
    • High school diploma required.
  • Work Environment: 

    • The role primarily involves working on-site at the residential property in Palm Desert.

    •  Adherence to limited on-call/afterhours procedures.

    • Hours 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
