Project Accountant

Phoenix

Direct Hire

A growing company is seeking a Project Accountant who has a minimum of three years of accounting experience in real estate, development, or construction. This role reports directly to the Controller.

Duties include processing and tracking costs, contracts, and commitments for assigned projects. In addition, prepare journal entries, monthly financial statements, and reconciliation of bank accounts. Candidates should have a solid track record of job costing and other account reconciliations.

This is a hands-on Project Accountant responsible for a range of accounting functions for assigned projects.

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience is required.

Strong knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, entries, and financial statements specifically relate to the real estate, development, or construction industry.

Intermediate MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, and prior experience with Yardi Voyager are preferred for this role.

Candidates should be motivated and have the ability to work both independently and with others in a professional, productive and cooperative manner.
