Summary

The Training Facilitator/Instructional Designer is responsible for creating content and learning experiences for a variety of audiences using various delivery methods. He or she will analyze, advise, create, develop, and facilitate e-learning solutions, internal onboarding, up-training courses, LMS administration, training plans, programs, and/or individual courses that are linked to business requirements or initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate needs for internal and external customers and recommend best practices and ideal learning delivery method based on needs
  • Ability to work with SMEs and other colleagues to develop materials such as storyboards and presentations in the creation of interactive deliverables for training purposes
  • Use instructional design processes and methodology to plan, design and develop classroom and web-based, instructor-led and asynchronous product training guides and quick reference guides
  • Use Articulate Storyline, Microsoft PowerPoint, and other multimedia tools to create learning content including voiceover recording
  • Create coursework with appropriate assessment-based evaluation strategies such as practice exercises, knowledge checks and other elements designed to meaningfully evaluate and drive learning retention
  • Manage projects through to completion amidst a complex business environment
  • Ensure content accuracy and alignment with current business processes, company branding guidelines, procedures and systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience or education
  • Master’s Degree preferred (Education, Instruction, Curriculum Design, Instructional Design, or related field)
  • 2+ years of experience in a corporate environment applying adult learning theories and techniques or equivalent teaching/instructional design experience
  • 2+ years of experience using e-learning authoring and/or media development software to create SCORM-compliant courses.
  • Preferred experience in Articulate 360 Suite: Storyline and Rise
  • Ability to work with multimedia production software such as Audacity, Canva, and others as needed
  • Experience administrating Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
  • Data Analysis experience with showing learner progress and ROI for learning initiatives
  • Exceptional verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand technical content, communicate well with subject matter experts and translate technical content to non-technical staff
  • Expert skills in leading a virtual classroom using WebEx or Microsoft Teams

Work Environment / Physical Demands

Requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in a home office environment. Dexterity is required in operating a computer keyboard and mouse. Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods of time, completing various computer-related tasks, meeting with team members, vendors and/or partners, as well as receiving/returning e-mail & Microsoft Teams messages.
