Churchill Contracting is seeking a qualified and experienced assistant commercial site superintendent.  Knowledge of commercial grading, excavation, and site utilities is a must.  Role: overseeing the construction process from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities: 

Project Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop and maintain construction schedules.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.​​​​​​​

Site Management:

  • Supervise daily construction activities.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to project timelines.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and enforce quality control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Address any quality issues promptly and effectively.

Safety Management:

  • Promote and enforce site safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety inspections and meetings.
  • Investigate and report safety incidents, implementing corrective actions.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals.
  • Communicate project progress, issues, and changes to field and operations team members. 

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and supervise site personnel and subcontractors.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Prepare regular progress reports for management and clients.
  • Document project changes, issues, and resolutions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of (2) years of commercial construction experience. 
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Computer skills: word, excel, procore
  • Valid Drivers License
