Blacksmith Technology Company is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Software Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in generating IT sales for our consulting and software development services. Your primary responsibilities will include cultivating relationships with new clients, conducting sales visits, delivering impactful presentations, and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.

As a pivotal member of our sales team, you will be tasked with representing Blacksmith Technology Company to a diverse array of stakeholders, including executives, IT management, marketing directors, and engineers.

Job Duties:

  • Develops and expands a portfolio of small to medium sized businesses (101 – 500 employees, $10M - $1B in annual revenue) corporate clients by networking, harvesting leads, cold calling, and marketing.
  • Establishes sales goals and implements a plan to meet those goals.
  • Tracks progress toward goals and documents sales performance
  • Becomes fluent in all products and services offered by the Blacksmith Technology Company and partners through testing, demonstrations, and research.
  • Answers questions, describes benefits, and discusses pros and cons of various competing products or services.
  • Prepares sales visits and presentations to pitch product, service, and combination packages to clients with technical and subject matter experts as needed.
  • Assesses client needs and makes recommendations, including IT consulting, staff augmentation, managed IT services, website development, and service packages.
  • Negotiates sales, package discounts, and long-term contracts with clients.
  • Likes to have fun in their job

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Marketing, or relate experience
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience with Sales and Marketing
  • Has Demonstrated Ability to Land New Clients
  • Knowledge of Relevant Products and Sales
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication
  • Great Interpersonal Communication Skills at All Levels
