Senior Accountant

Onsite – Roseville, CA (m-F 8am -5pm)

Compensation range: $2500 - $2708 per pay period. We recognize 24 pay periods per calendar year. 

 

Essential RESPONSIBILITIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES:

•             Responsible for month-end closing activities for multiple entities and timely period end close, including journal entries, preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial statement variance analysis.

•             Create and maintain workpapers supporting all general ledger accounts.

•             Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

•             Prepare monthly or quarterly sale and use tax reconciliations and 1099 yearend tax compliance

•             Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.

•             Assists Controller in the establishment and documentation of financial policies and procedures.

•             Support annual external financial audits.

•             Assist with process improvement and automation across all areas of accounting and finance.

•             Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS - Knowledge & Skills:

•             Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

•             5+ years of progressive accounting experience

•             Prior experience in an external audit in a CPA firm is highly desirable.

•             Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP is highly desirable

•             Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization

•             Strong work ethic with a dedication to driving and achieving results

•             Knowledge of employee relationship building

•             Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
