The Fontanel Mansion is searching for a Lead Maintenance Technician. This person must be well rounded in the trades with an emphasis in carpentry, have a great, problem solving attitude, and be reliable. After being closed for several year, the mansion is close to reopening and needs someone who can help get her across the finish line and maintain her for years to come.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position’s primary responsibility is to complete renovation projects at our commercial site.

-vehicle is required, truck is preferred

-clean driving record

-provide tools needed for jobs (materials are purchased though the company)

-carpentry skills for framing and trim carpentry, light plumbing/electric/hvac skill

PRIMARY DUTIES

- Review project scope and develop deadlines for completion

- Order and purchase materials as required by scope of work.

- Set-up project including bringing all required materials and equipment as needed.

- Complete all projects in a professional and timely fashion.

- Notify supervisor of project issues immediately including but not limited to overages on estimated hours, additional work required, additional cost or materials, billing issues.

- Return any unused materials to store for credit, or office as indicated by supervisor.

A qualified candidate should have their own truck or van, and all of their own tools. Upon being called for an interview, photos of prior work will need to be provided.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Carpentry/Construction based trade school programs and/or equivalent five years professional carpentry experience required. Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle use is required.
