We are adding a Housing Associate to work as part of the Resettlement department to carry out housing tasks

This person will assist the Housing Lead and Housing Coordinator with securing and setting up permanent housing. This position will support the common goal of welcoming refugees, offering vital services for them to regain stability, and support their long-term integration through performing essential tasks related to housing.

Must have Valid Drivers License and Insurance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) medium to heavy weights of 75 pounds
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information
  • Frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Driving 15-20 foot Truck and/or 12-15 foot Van
  • Support Housing Coordinator with apartment setups/furniture moving
  • Ensure all Material Needs Support (MNS) items are present upon completion of the apartment setup
  • Verify MNS items in the warehouse and communicate with the Housing Coordinator regarding low inventory
  • Reconcile MNS purchases with credit cards and Dynamics
  • Collaborate with Warehouse team to ensure warehouse is organized and well-maintained
  • Assist and collaborate with the Resettlement department in any assigned tasks to complete core services related to housing
  • Participate in on-going training to improve service delivery and ensure compliance
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and other meetings as instructed by supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned
