Position Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location:Grand Rapids, MI

Employment Type: Full-Time (32 hours/week)

Dates: August 19, 2024 June 9, 2025

Caseload/Details:

  • Provide speech and language support for students in a K-8 building (grade levels may vary).
  • Option to combine with a 1 day/week role at a nearby school.

Onsite or Virtual: On-site

Job Description: Join our team in Grand Rapids, MI as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2024-2025 school year. In this role, you will work on-site to support K-8 students with their speech and language development. Youll play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges and succeed both academically and socially. This position offers the chance to engage directly with students, teachers, and parents while contributing to the educational growth of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide treatment for speech, language, and communication disorders in K-8 students.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Work closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to facilitate student progress.
  • Keep thorough records of student assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of educational strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Michigan state licensure or the ability to obtain licensure.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
  • Experience working with children in a school setting, particularly in grades K-8.
  • Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and organization.
