Our client is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the maintenance manager, is responsible to provide day-to-day equipment and facility support for manufacturing, and/or associated facility/utilities mechanical and electrical support. Assigned tasks including support and monitoring of equipment performance and maintenance, propose & develop equipment and facility improvements and troubleshoot process equipment to ensure reliable, compliant and efficient operations. Actively ensures compliance to current Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety, and Environmental regulations while achieving operating cost goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with performing preventive/ predictive maintenance, repair, and calibration of electronic equipment, such as control systems of numerically controlled machines, other controlling or recording equipment, spot weld machines, etc.;
  • Assist with install, maintaining, repair, or rebuild complicated machine tools and special purpose machines, high/low frequency test systems and plant equipment such as horizontal and vertical boring mills, automated machine tools, assembling machines, lathes, milling machines, radial drill presses, etc.;
  • Assist with disassembling problem equipment and determine extent of repairs necessary with proper communication with Machine Shop and Maintenance Managers
  • Conduct operational test, and repair equipment by disassembling required components, repairing and/or replacing faulty parts, reassembling and adjusting equipment;
  • Assist with determining proper settings for timing and control mechanisms;
  • Assist with periodically check equipment performance to assure conformance to required standards;
  • Assist with developing, implementing, and improving a preventative maintenance program;
  • Assist with general plumbing repairs;
  • Assist with roofing repairs;
  • Assist with welding tasks;
  • Assist with electrician tasks;
  • Assist with air conditioning repairs and change filters;
  • Assist with minor forklift repairs;
  • Assist with sheet metal work
  • Assist with carpentry tasks
  • Assist with minor machinery repairs;
  • Assist with hazardous waste disposal, proper house-keeping and maintaining a well-organized and safe facility
  • Perform special projects as required
  • May require operation of forklift or the driving of company vehicles;
  • Assist with keeping quality up to acceptable standards with little discrepant work
  • Perform tasks equal to or exceeding established standards; have the approach of doing things right the first time with a focus on permanent, long-term solutions
  • Assist with accomplishing production quotas;
  • Ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned

Skills and Requirements:

  • Applicant must be ITAR compliant.
  • Ability to safely and proficiently utilize a large variety of tools including specific tools designed for specific pieces of equipment;
  • Experience in maintaining machinery and equipment;
  • Excellent understanding of mechanics;
  • Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the Company;
  • Ability to work well with only a modest amount of repeated instructions;
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English;
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record;
  • Working consistently, working overtime, and traveling as required;
  • Be team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability

Experience:

  • Six months or more of related experience

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
