PrideStaff is currently seeking Maintenance Worker a manufacturing company located in Pomona, CA. This is a full-time, temp- to- hire position with opportunity to grow. Please see job requirements below to be considered.  

  • Salary: $20-$21
  • Shift: M-F 5:30am to 2pm (over-time and Saturday required as needed) 

Position Summary
The Maintenance Worker works under the close supervision of the Safety Supervisor and is responsible for keeping the building and grounds clean, safe and in good condition.  The Maintenance Worker also ensures that machines are working properly and make repairs as required.

Essential Job Duties

  • Open facility and start essential processes
  • Daily inspection and operation of powered industrial trucks (forklifts)
  • Move waste and recyclable materials to appropriate bins
  • Perform various scheduled inspections (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Repair and maintain physical structures of the facility
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Repair plumbing, electrical, heating, and other fixtures
  • Clear clogged drains
  • Perform minor service and maintenance of company vehicles
  • Maintain facility grounds
  • Operate floor sweeper and scrubber to clean shop floors

Other Duties

  • Assist with the testing of various machines
  • Patch and paint interior and exterior surfaces of building
  • Some welding and torch cutting
  • Move equipment as required
  • Back up for delivery and pick up of parts and equipment
  • Clean equipment parts
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent desirable
    Construction, plumbing, repairs, and painting experience highly preferred
  • Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, scissor lift, or other machines
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure, maintain the building grounds, use hand and power tools and climb a ladder required
  • Welding experience desired
  • Ability to adhere to ethical principles that reflect the highest standards of organizational and individual behavior and comply with all laws and regulations      
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Valid California driver license required
  • Must be willing to submit to a physical and clinic drug test prior to start
