Job DescriptionJob Description

Connect Talent Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and Water Technician to join a local restoration company. The Water Technician will be responsible for responding to water-related emergencies such as floods, leaks, and other water damage events. The successful candidate will use their expertise to diagnose the cause of the water damage, develop a remediation plan, and execute the plan in a timely and effective manner. The Water Technician will work closely with the project manager and other team members to ensure customer satisfaction and job completion. This position is open to all levels of experience.  Employer will train and compensation is based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to water-related emergencies on a 24/7 basis.
  • Perform water damage assessments and develop remediation plans.
  • Use specialized equipment such as moisture meters, dehumidifiers, and air movers to remove water and dry affected areas.
  • Remove and dispose of damaged materials such as drywall, carpet, and insulation.
  • Install drying equipment and monitor progress until the affected area is dry.
  • Document job progress and communicate with the project manager and customer throughout the remediation process.
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure the job has been completed to company and industry standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and work outside of regular business hours as necessary.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in water damage restoration a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
  • IICRC certification in water damage restoration a plus, but not required.
